Las Vegas Mixtape v50: “Absinthe” at 15, Outdoor Dining, and a Music/Circus Mashup

Track #2: Outdoor Dining Medley: Echo & Rig @Tivoli Village and Marche Bacchus @Desert Shores

Here’s a place to leave the rest of the world where it belongs: behind. (Image: Vegas 411)

A terrific way to dial down the modern world’s insanity is by lunching at the French restaurant and wine shop Marche Bacchus on Lake Jacqueline at Desert Shores. A beautiful lakeside view—coupled with grilled chicken, brie, and fig jam on ciabatta—adds up to my idea of a perfect mental health escape. Be sure to ask for a table on the dreamy patio of this multi-room space (located in the Lakeside Village plaza) whose interior is modern and sharp-looking.

Something to shout about. (Image: Vegas 411)

With the weather hitting just right in the spring in Vegas, the covered patio on the second floor of Echo & Rig at Tivoli Village in the Summerlin area is another satisfying outdoor option. That’s where I enjoyed every bite of the steakhouse/butcher shop’s signature burger—a “Butcher Grind of Chuck, Short Rib, Brisket”—served with melted sharp cheddar and Kennebec fries.  It tastes like the best summer of your life.
