2. Valley of Fire State Park
The red rocks around this site create quite the spectacle and offer lovely views to campers. It's a bit far from Vegas, but the one-hour drive is worth it in the end as the camping experience here is exceptional. There are two main camping grounds at Valley of Fire State Park: the main one catering to tent and RV campers complete with water and electricity. Campers also get good toilets and showers. The other campground, named Arch Rock, is quite beautiful but has fewer amenities.
