Another day, another rebrand on the Strip.
MGM Resorts announced that NoMad Las Vegas, the boutique luxury hideaway tucked into the top floors of Park MGM, is officially getting a new identity. Starting December 17, the hotel will be known as The Reserve at Park MGM.
Before anyone panics: the hotel isn’t closing, the vibe isn’t changing, and you’ll still get the same classy, intimate, artsy experience you’ve come to expect. It’s mostly a name change… though a few familiar spots are also getting cleaned up and re-labeled:
-
NoMad Pool → The Terrace Pool
-
NoMad Library → The Library
-
NoMad Bar → The Reserve Bar
So yes, your favorite Library restaurant is still the Library — just with a slightly shorter name.
This Building Has Lived More Lives Than Most Vegas Locals
If you’ve been in Vegas long enough, you know this property has reinvented itself more than once.
-
It opened in 1996 as the Monte Carlo, complete with faux European charm and cheap eats.
-
In 2018, MGM wiped the slate clean, transformed the resort into Park MGM, and carved out the upper floors to launch NoMad — the first (and only) Vegas edition of the beloved New York City boutique brand.
-
NoMad quickly became one of the Strip’s “if you know, you know” gems: gorgeous rooms, moody lighting, that spectacular library filled with vintage books, and one of the sexiest bars in town.
Now? It’s changing names again — but the soul of the place is sticking around.
So Why the Rebrand? Blame (or thank) Marriott.
Earlier this year, MGM and Marriott International announced a long-term partnership that essentially links much of MGM’s Vegas portfolio with Marriott Bonvoy, their massive global loyalty program.
As part of that deal, NoMad Las Vegas is being reshaped to fit into Marriott’s Autograph Collection — a group of one-of-a-kind boutique hotels from around the world.
That’s coming in early 2026. When it happens, Marriott loyalists will be able to book The Reserve at Park MGM on Marriott.com and rack up (or cash in) Bonvoy points.
For now, though, it’s just a rebrand and a few updated names. The NoMad vibe isn’t going anywhere.
What This Means for Guests
If you’ve loved staying at NoMad — the quiet hallways, the moody rooms, the staircase inside the Library, the feeling that you escaped the chaos of the Strip without actually leaving it — don’t worry. MGM says The Reserve will still deliver the same elevated, boutique experience.
Really, the story here is less about a big makeover and more about the long, ever-changing journey of a building that’s been:
Monte Carlo → Park MGM → NoMad → and now The Reserve.
If this property were a person, it would’ve changed its name more times than a celebrity trying to dodge paparazzi.
